About Us
Steve’s Automotive was founded by Steve & Sylvia Booy in 1983. Steve and Sylvia were both born in Brampton, Ontario, and they were looking for an opportunity to start their own service facility. The automotive service market in Brampton was flooded, so they looked down the 401 corridor for a smaller and friendlier community. Woodstock was their first choice, and they haven’t looked back. Steve & Sylvia retired in 2015 and since then their 2 sons, Derek and Josh have taken over the business. In 2021, Derek and Josh moved operations from Juliana Drive over to a new 14,000 square foot building on Griffin Way. Today, Steve’s Automotive remains the premier automotive shop in Woodstock.

1983
Steve and Sylvia Booy move to Woodstock Ontario and open Steve’s Automotive on June 1st, with one repair bay.
1988
Steve and Sylvia Booy purchase land on Juliana Drive in Woodstock and build a 3 bay repair facility.
1988 – 2000
Steve and Sylvia working from their new 3 bay facility that was built in 1988. They experienced continued growth and success at this facility from 1988 to 2000.
2000
Steve and Sylvia Booy expand their 3 bay facility by building a new office and adding 2 more repair bays.
2004
Steve’s Automotive was destroyed by fire, and a new 8 bay facility was built in its place on Juliana Drive.
2015
2015 – Steve and Sylvia Booy retire and their sons, Josh and Derek take ownership.
2021
Josh and Derek Booy build a brand new 12 bay facility on Griffin Way.
